The replacement Porter-Cable Random Orbit Sander Pad I ordered has a new design which seems to be an improvement over the original Pad which came with the sander several years ago.

This is a replacement pad for your PorterCable 7335 sander. The price from Amazon was much better than local and there was free shipping....so a good deal in terms of cost. Will have to use more to determine the pad's durability ....so far, so good.

Got it super fast and it was just like the original purchased with the sander 12 years ago. The old one - the foam rubber disc backing just crumbled up - let you know in 12 years how this one does.

I've had an experience similar to P. Bates. This is also my third pad. They seem to deteriorate over time. I live in Florida with its high temperatures. However, I keep my tools under air conditioning, which should minimize heat caused failure. I think Porter Cable should be able to design and fabricate an orbital pad that doesn't disintegrate. Let's see how this one performs.

Have not used it too much at this time; but it performed well. I feel it is an improvement over the original adhesive pad. It appears to be more durable and accepts and releases the adhesive disks better than the orignal also.
